Dr. Robert Feirsen was an elementary school principal, a middle school principal, and an assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction before attaining his current position as Superintendent of Schools in Garden City, New York. He earned a doctorate in Educational Administration from Fordham University where he teaches courses as an adjunct professor.

Dr. Seth Weitzman is the Principal of Hommocks Middle School in Larchmont, New York. He has been a principal, assistant principal and teacher trainer for over twenty years. He earned a doctorate in Educational Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Prior to their careers in educational administration, the authors had diverse experiences teaching in private and public schools located in both urban and suburban communities. They are founders of TeacherEdge, a consulting firm that equips teachers with job-hunting skills and strategies through workshops and individual counseling.
